OrderVane flags large institutional trades on your Quantower charts
the instant they print — with an audible alert and an adaptive threshold that tunes itself
to every market.
Works with Quantower
Made for the order-flow desk — scalpers, day traders, and tape readers who follow institutional size, not noise.
A fixed “big trade” size breaks the moment the market changes.
Set the threshold too low and you drown in noise. Too high and you miss
the prints that matter. OrderVane adapts — automatically — so the
signal stays clean in any regime.
Lite · available now
See the size that moves price.
A candle never tells you that a 474-lot went through at the high. Lite marks that size the moment it prints, groups the bursts, flags the prices where size got absorbed — and keeps the levels where it stacked up.
Volume shelves
The prices that held size stay on your chart.
A print tells you size arrived. A shelf tells you where it stacked up. OrderVane marks the price that took an unusual share of the volume around it, measured against three windows at once — 30, 60 and 240 minutes — so the same shelf sits at the same price whether you are on a 1-minute or an hourly chart. The line stays there until price comes back to it.
#VolumeShelf#ThreeWindows#SameOnEveryTimeframe
Three order-flow lenses
Bubbles, clusters, absorption — turn on what you read.
Big-trade bubbles, aggression-cluster diamonds, and absorption bars are independent engines. Switch on the ones that match how you read order flow — one of them, or all three at once.
#Clusters#Absorption
Refill grouping
One iceberg. One signal — not forty.
Iceberg orders refill in milliseconds and flood your chart with duplicates. Switch on refill grouping and prints at the same price and side within a short window collapse into one logical order — a single institutional order reads as one marker, not a wall of refills.
#Iceberg#RefillNoise
Smart lane stacking
Five big trades, one bar — still perfectly clear.
Switch on lane stacking and crowded bars stop overlapping: big trades fan out into clean stacked lanes with the size labeled inside — so the real whales stand out at a glance.
#CleanLanes#SizeLabels
Big-money size filter
Hide the retail noise with one toggle.
Set a minimum size and every trade below it drops off the tape — leaving only the big-money prints on your chart. One threshold, instant clarity.
#BigMoneyOnly#NoiseFilter
Adaptive threshold
Big is relative. OrderVane sizes it for you.
The threshold recalibrates over a rolling window you choose — 3 to 30 days — using the percentile you set. Automatically. You see the ten or so prints that actually matter each day, instead of the two hundred that don't. No manual tuning, ever.
#AdaptiveThreshold#RollingWindow#Percentile
Same shelf, every timeframe
Switch to hourly. The level does not move.
The measurement never touches your chart bars — it reads a fixed five-minute source and slides three windows across it. Flip from 1-minute to hourly and the same shelf sits at the same price with the same two numbers. A level you trust should not depend on the timeframe you happened to open.
#NoTimeframeDrift#FixedSource
Pro · available now
Read inside the bar. Measure the level.
Pro adds the footprint layer — every price inside the bar, which side was hitting — plus levels that stay on the chart until price answers them, and the resting size waiting in the order book.
The second half of Pro is measurement. The previous session is rebuilt for you and its VAH, POC and VAL are carried into today, with a band around each one and a mark when size gets absorbed there. Drag a box over any bars for a profile bounded by price as well as time, and read per-bar statistics and tape speed alongside it.
Levels that live
Levels that stay until price answers them.
When aggressive prints stack rows deep on one side, OrderVane boxes the zone and projects it forward until price trades back through it — buy side and sell side. Switch on the rest of the family and the chart also carries naked POCs until they are touched, unfinished auctions until they are repaired, and zero-print levels until they fill. The chart remembers these levels so you don’t have to.
#StackedImbalance#NakedPOC#Zones
Footprint cells
Every price in the bar — bid × ask.
Each bar opens into rows: how much traded at the bid and how much at the ask, price by price. The heaviest row is marked, the value area is shaded, and rows where one side dominates are flagged. A bar stops being one number and becomes a distribution.
#FootprintCells#BidAsk#POC
Bid/ask walls
The size sitting in the book.
Levels holding unusually large resting size are drawn on the chart with that size on them — ask-side above, bid-side below. The threshold reads the current book, so it works on a thin market and a thick one, and a level that only flashes for a second never makes it onto the chart.
#BidAskWalls#OrderBook
On-chart quick panel
Tune it without leaving the chart.
Five columns — footprint, overlays, profile, statistics and session levels — each holding the switches for that layer. Change a threshold mid-session and the chart answers immediately. No settings dialog, no reload.
#QuickPanel#NoDialog
Candle takeover
Your chart, redrawn around the flow.
OrderVane draws the bars itself — wide enough to read the cells — with volume and delta labelled on every bar and a delta shadow when you zoom out. One chart, not a chart plus three panels.
#Takeover#PerBarTotals
Range profile
Drag any range. Measure it.
Draw a box on the chart and OrderVane builds the profile for exactly that window — a histogram on each side, point of control, value area, a VWAP that develops bar by bar, bands where price traded thin and moved on, and tape speed by price. The box clips it by price as well as by time, so a box around the upper half of a swing returns that half’s point of control. It fills in inside the rubber band while you are still dragging: point of control and value area are on screen before you release the mouse.
#RangeProfile#VWAP#LVN
Per-bar statistics
Every bar as numbers.
Volume, delta, delta %, cumulative delta and the session extremes, lined up above the chart bar by bar. Colour scales with each row, so the outliers find you instead of the other way round.
#BarStats#CumulativeDelta
Tape speed
How fast it is printing.
Trades per second as a row in the statistics grid, a speed profile by price inside any box you draw, and a vertical meter beside the last bar that splits effort from result at every price — over this bar, over today, or from any start you drag. A slow drift and a burst that had to be answered stop looking the same on the chart.
#TapeSpeed#TradesPerSecond
Session levels
The levels a session leaves behind.
OrderVane rebuilds the previous session’s profile on its own and carries VAH, POC and VAL into today, each with a band around it. When price comes back and size trades into the level without pushing through, the touch is marked on the chart. It is an observation of what happened at the level — not a forecast of what happens next.
#SessionVA#Absorption
Yours and ours
The chart says who chose the range.
OrderVane rebuilds recent sessions on its own and draws them with a dashed frame and a name — D-1 is the previous session, D-2 the one before. A box you dragged yourself is solid and unnamed. The numbers inside are measured the same way in both; what differs is who picked the window, and the chart never leaves that to memory. Each box also keeps its own setup, so two of them can answer two different questions at once.

Is it for you?
Built for a specific kind of trader.
We'd rather you know before you buy — OrderVane fits some traders perfectly, and isn't the right tool for others.
Built for you if…
You trade discretionary off the tape — futures, crypto, or stocks
You want to see real institutional size clearly and make your own calls
You run Quantower and read order flow, not just price
Probably not for you if…
× You want a bot that places entries and exits — OrderVane never trades for you
× You want buy/sell signals to follow — it's analysis, you decide
× You trade only on NinjaTrader, TradingView, or MT — it's Quantower-only
Plans
Two tiers. Pick by what you need to see.
Both are one-time purchases — free updates, no monthly fees. Lite reads the tape. Pro opens the bar and measures the level, and includes everything Lite does.
Included in Lite — and in Pro
Big-trade detection bubblesLarge prints and rapid same-price bursts from the tape, drawn at the exact price and time. Where the tick history does not reach OrderVane leaves the bubbles out and marks the price levels that took unusual volume instead — a line that holds until price trades back through it, colored by the side that traded more. Size scales with volume, color shows the aggressor side.
Aggression clusters & absorption barsDiamonds mark runs of same-side aggressive prints; absorption bars mark heavy volume printing at a price that refuses to move.
Adaptive threshold & size filterThe 'big trade' threshold recalibrates from recent daily activity (daily-max average × your factor), so detection keeps pace when the market speeds up or slows down. A fixed size floor is always available.
Refill grouping & lane stackingExecutions split at the same price and side are regrouped into one logical order (iceberg refills), and overlapping markers fan out into lanes so every print stays readable.
Audible alerts & live + historical chartsA sound plays the moment a qualifying big trade prints — always matching what the bubbles show. Markers render on live and historical charts alike.
Volume shelves (three windows, any timeframe)Volume is counted at every price over three rolling windows — 30, 60 and 240 minutes — and a line is drawn where an unusual share of it stacked up, labelled with the two volumes, the window and the share. The measurement runs on its own five-minute source, so the same shelf sits at the same price on a one-minute chart and on an hourly one.
Shelf history (held / visits)Pro counts what happens when price comes back. The label reads 3/8 — eight visits, three of them ended without a close on the other side. The line carries the current state: solid while the last close respected the level, faint and dotted once one landed beyond it. It is a record, not a forecast — we looked for a pattern in the repeat visits and could not find one, so the label makes no claim.
Pro adds
Session levels & absorption at touchThe previous session is rebuilt automatically and its VAH, POC and VAL are carried into today with a band around each. When price returns and size trades into the level without pushing through, the touch is marked — an observation of what happened there, not a forecast.
Bid/ask walls (live resting size)Order-book levels holding unusually large resting size, drawn from the moment they appear — line thickness tracks size, and pulled walls fade out instead of vanishing. Resting orders can be pulled at any moment. Requires Level 2 (market depth) data.
Footprint suite (cells, takeover, zones & presets)The full footprint: bid × ask cells with in-cell volume bars and an instant tick engine, candle takeover (install it and the chart becomes a footprint chart), diagonal and tiered imbalances, stacked-imbalance zones that extend until broken, naked-POC lines, dotted value-area ranges, zero-print levels, reload markers, outlier-delta highlights, zoom-out delta shadows, one-click style presets and deep cell tuning — with a themed on-chart quick panel and a readability system that keeps cells legible at every zoom.
Imbalance highlights & POC / value areaSame-price bid/ask imbalances marked as background chips — with an adaptive minimum-volume floor that tunes itself to the symbol — plus per-bar POC highlight and value-area shading.
Per-bar statistics (on-chart)Per-bar rows drawn right on the main chart with heat coloring — Volume, Delta, Delta%, cumulative delta, max/min delta, trades, buy/sell volume, bar-POC price, volume/sec and duration.
Tape speed & the vertical meterSpeed read three ways: a tape-speed row in the statistics grid (Meter, Numbers or Bipolar styles, eight data sources from trades/s to average trade size, an SMA/EMA control line and absolute scaling), a per-price speed profile inside any range-profile box, and a vertical meter beside the last bar — left wing for the effort that went in at each price, right wing for how fast price left it.
Range profile (drag on chart)Drag a box over any bars for an instant profile of that exact range. Pick a source per side — volume, delta, buy, sell or TPO (time-at-price) — in a butterfly layout, overlay extra sources as lines, and read POC, value area, a developing VWAP and per-row values. The profile is computed inside the rubber band while you are still dragging the box out, so POC and value area are on screen before you release the mouse. Move and resize boxes right on the chart with grips, width handles and edit cursors, and add a per-price speed-of-tape profile with fast-LVN bands or a TPO age rainbow. Powered by the built-in tick engine.

What you actually pay
OrderVane is a one-time purchase — no subscription, no renewal billing. It's the only thing you pay us.
To run any Quantower indicator you'll also need the following — separately, and not paid to us:
A Quantower platform license (Quantower offers both free and paid tiers)
Live or replay market data, from your broker or a data provider
We don't take a cut of either — and we'd rather you hear that from us than discover it later.
What you need to run it
A Windows PC
The Quantower trading platform
A live or replay market-data connection
OrderVane installs once like any Quantower indicator — the quick-start guide walks you through it.
Being straight with you
OrderVane is an order-flow analysis suite — it makes institutional activity clear on your chart so you can decide. To be clear about what it is and isn't:
It reads the market, it doesn't predict it — you see what has printed, not what happens next
It's an analysis tool, not buy/sell signals — you make the calls
It doesn't place or automate trades — OrderVane shows you the flow, you execute
It runs on Quantower — not NinjaTrader, TradingView, or others
It's built and tuned on futures — it works on any Quantower instrument with Time & Sales, but how much you see depends on your feed (try yours during the trial)
Free updates included · installed version never expires
Try before you buy
Try it on your own charts — then decide.
We'd rather you put OrderVane to the test than take our word for it. Three ways the purchase risk stays on us, not you.
14-day free trial
Run the full version on your own live and replay charts for two weeks. No credit card to start.
No auto-charge
The trial just ends — there's no card on file and no surprise billing. You buy only if you decide it's worth it.
One-time purchase
Pay once and own your license. No subscription, no recurring charges, nothing to remember to cancel.
Questions
Straight answers to fair questions.
How do I know it works before I pay?
You shouldn't — not on our word alone. That's exactly why there's a 14-day free trial with no credit card, no auto-charge when it ends, and a one-time price with no subscription. Run it on your own charts and let the tool earn the sale.
How is this different from Quantower's free Power Trades?
Power Trades flags trades against a fixed size you set by hand. OrderVane sizes “big” for you — an adaptive, per-side threshold — then groups iceberg refills and clustered prints into one logical order and stacks every print cleanly. The full comparison is above.
What if it doesn't fit the way I trade?
Find out before you pay. The 14-day trial is the full version on your own live and replay charts. It also ships three order-flow engines — big-trade bubbles, aggression clusters, and absorption — so you can match it to how you read the tape. Still not for you? Walk away when the trial ends — you're never charged.
Do I need to be technical to set it up?
No. Copy the file into Quantower's indicators folder, restart once, then drag it onto a chart. Your license activates as soon as you paste in the key you get at purchase. The quick-start guide (7 languages) walks through every step.
Which markets does it work on?
Any instrument you trade in Quantower. The threshold recalibrates to whatever market and session you load — it isn't tuned to a single contract, so it travels with you across markets — futures, crypto, or stocks.
What happens right after I buy?
The moment you buy, your license key is issued — no waiting on a manual approval window — and activates as soon as you paste it in, along with the indicator, full documentation, and updates. Anything you need afterwards goes to email support.
Does OrderVane repaint?
No. A large trade is a real, executed transaction — once it has printed, it has printed. When OrderVane flags one, that marker stays exactly where and when it appeared. Nothing is redrawn or removed after the fact. On a fresh chart or timeframe, markers fill in as the historical volume data loads (a few seconds), then stay put.
How many machines can I use, and can I move my license?
Two machines — so your desk and your laptop (or home and office) can both run it. Your license activates the moment you paste in the key you receive at purchase (no approval queue). Moving to another computer later is self-service: release it from the old machine in the settings ('Release license from this PC'), then activate the new one — at no charge.
I lost my license key — how do I get it back?
Your key isn't lost — it's stored with Lemon Squeezy, our checkout. Go to app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders, enter the email you used at checkout, and open the magic link it sends you (no password). Your license key is right there under your order.
My chart says “Update available” — what do I do?
Nothing is broken — a newer package is out, and it is free. Re-download it from your order page, replace the file where you first put it, and restart Quantower; your charts, settings and license key all stay as they are. The steps are on the Updates page: ordervane.com/update
What happens when Quantower releases an update?
Keeping OrderVane compatible with current Quantower releases is our job, not yours. If a platform update ever breaks something, the fix is covered by the updates included with your license.
Why a one-time price instead of a monthly subscription?
Because you should own the tool you paid for. Most indicator vendors rent you access, and you lose it the moment you stop paying. We'd rather sell it once and earn future updates by being worth keeping. For context: comparable order-flow tools run $59/month subscriptions — over $700 a year — or lifetime licenses up to $1,790 (ATAS). Owning your tools outright shouldn't be the expensive option.
What's included, and can it stop working?
OrderVane is a finished, shipping product — ready to trade with today, not a work in progress. Every future update is included free, and because we rely on it for our own trading, it stays actively supported. Your market data also stays on your machine — charts, trades, and positions are never uploaded to us. The only thing that talks to a server is licensing: activating your key, and a once-a-day check for a new version.
Is buying Lite wasted if I later move up to Pro?
No. Lite is a complete tool on its own — you own it outright and it keeps running on your machine no matter what launches later. Pro is an optional expansion for traders who want to read inside the bar, not a replacement for Lite — and if you do move up, Lite owners pay the difference rather than the full price.
Does the range profile need anything loaded before it works?
It reads OrderVane’s own per-bar, per-price store, which fills in as you use a symbol. On a symbol and timeframe you have opened before, a box you drag resolves from memory. The first time you open a new symbol, or over bars OrderVane has not covered yet, it falls back to Quantower’s volume analysis and waits for that the same way any profile tool does — once, not every time.
Do my range boxes survive a Quantower restart?
Yes. Completed boxes are cached to a per-symbol file, so they come back populated rather than as empty rectangles, then refresh to live numbers within a few seconds. The cache holds the most recent boxes per symbol and is shared by every chart on that symbol; up to the last half-minute before a shutdown may be rebuilt rather than restored.
